DESCRIPTION OF THE EXCURSION
The route is 110km. and lasts about 1.5 hours. One version of the meaning of the name “Pozar” is “after the charcoal” while another is
“Under the fire”, which is an indication that there was an older site of the village which was burned or set on fire and so the inhabitants named
Pozar their new village.
We arrive at the enchanting Pozar Baths, a spa in nature. The thermal waters penetrate to the ground reaching great depths, warm up, rise
again on the surface and in their course they are enriched with minerals and trace elements.
We have free time to feel the properties of the thermal waters entering the natural pools of the baths
The following is a visit to the picturesque city of Edessa. We have free time to admire the rushing waterfalls and take pictures
the enchanting landscape.
The water of the waterfalls comes from the springs that are supplied by the snows of Mount Kaimaktsalan (or North).
Walk in the traditional district of Varosi and visit the Water Museum or Flavor Mill for an unforgettable experience or enjoy a nice meal in one of the traditional restaurants in the area.
We depart for Thessaloniki at about 15:00 pm, where we return after about 1 hour (at 16:30)
